Poetry is a medium in which form and meaning are in close encounter—so how do we write poems that make organic connections between structure and subject? Concoct homemade verse forms during a workshop that will stretch your poetic imagination and find new ways to bring your ideas to the page.

Sadiqa de Meijer is a poet and essayist who serves as Kingston’s Poet Laureate. Her major works include Leaving Howe Island, alfabet/alphabet, and her most recent release, Qaf’s People. She won the 2021 Governor General’s Literary Award for Non-Fiction for alfabet/alphabet.
